Colin Heasley is a writer based in NYC. He holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from the NYU Tisch Kanbar Institute of Film & Television and a BS in Biology and Public Policy from Duke University. His humor and satire writing has appeared in McSweeney's Internet Tendency, Reductress, BuzzFeed, Vulture, and others.
He began writing professionally as an Editorial Fellow at BuzzFeed in 2014, and has completed additional training through the Summer TV Writing Intensive at Columbia University School of the Arts. In 2016 he co-produced indie comedy webseries BLANK SLATES — in which he plays one half of a struggling performance art duo. His pilot and feature film scripts have placed at the Princeton Film Festival and Austin Film Festival.
He has previously worked for Killer Films and R/GA, and currently is a volunteer fiction reader for McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern.
